Jeff Tweedy just announced this event was happening from the stage at Wilco's show in Boston tonight. Here are the details from the Solid Sound Festival site:
Featuring a headline performance by Wilco and appearances by the band members' side projects - The Autumn Defense‚ On Fillmore‚ The Nels Cline Singers‚ and Pronto -- as well as additional music by both Wilco and some of the band's favorite artists. Plus band and MASS MoCA curated art‚ interactive installations‚ comedy and more.
Tickets include entry to the festival for the entire weekend including access to the entire campus of MASS MoCA and go on sale Friday‚ April 9. 2010 at 10 a.m. EDT via Front Gate Tickets. Age 6 and under free.
NO glass‚ pets‚ alcohol‚ coolers‚ picnic baskets or smoking allowed at MASS MoCA. Large bags‚ backpacks‚ and umbrellas are discouraged‚ as they will not be allowed in the galleries.
You MAY bring: sealed or empty water bottles‚ blankets‚ strollers and chairs. Bag check will be available inside for any disallowed items.
